Nature Abounds
Within steps of your front door enjoy Jackson Morrow Park! The paved walking trail invites you to experience nature. The trail is approximately 1.3 miles long. This park has become a destination for many walkers, runners, dog-walkers, roller bladers and bicyclists. There are also a number of 5K walks sponsored by local charities that take place in this park utilizing the walkpath.
Nature Center at your doorstep
The Kirkendall Nature Center and Jackson Morrow Park offer many programs and events throughout the year. The Parks and Recreation Department offers several Creature Feature events during the summer as well as Super Explorer science camps for kids. A pumpkin painting event and the Haunted Trail Walk are held in the fall. Other events include environmental workshops and annual tree sales in cooperation with the Howard County Soil & Water Conservation District and the Howard County Solid Waste District, school field trip opportunities, scouting programs, and many volunteer opportunities.
Daredevils
A state-of-the-art skateboard park is also part of the Jackson Morrow Park! Any daredevil can test their skills on this awesome course!
